Our Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) classes are taught by emergency medical professionals.   PALS participants will learn to systematically assess a patient, identify the problem, and deliver dynamic team-based resuscitation and systems of care that will improve pediatric patient outcome from serious illness and injury.

American Heart Association (AHA) Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) is an advanced, instructor-led course for healthcare professionals who direct or participate in the management of critically ill or injured infants and children.  Providers will learn and enhance skills in the treatment of pediatric arrest and periarrest patients through active participation in a series of simulated pediatric emergencies and small group skills stations.  Important concepts of a systematic approach to pediatric assessment, basic life support, PALS treatment algorithms, and effective resuscitation team dynamics will be learned in the course. 

Course Completion: 2-Year AHA PALS Card

BLS for Healthcare Provider CPR certification is offered following each course.   Refer to the course registration confirmation email for more information and available options.

HeartCode® PALS is a web-based self-directed eLearning program that provides professional healthcare providers with the knowledge and skills needed to prevent, recognize, and treat cardiopulmonary arrest in children and infants. Using eSimulation technology, course participants will assess and treat twelve core cardiac, respiratory, and shock patients in a virtual healthcare setting.  Formal debriefing and coaching are provided after each case to facilitate PALS didactic knowledge and skills retention.  Upon completing the online course, participants must schedule and succesfully complete an instructor-led hands-on skills practice and evaluation session prior to receiving an AHA PALS course completion card valid for two years.

Length: 6-9 Hours Online/45-60 Minute Skills Session

Materials: PALS eReference Materials Included No Textbook Required

Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Classes
Students of our Auburn PALS classes learn vital information on how to recognize and manage pediatric emergencies, and upon successfully completing this course, will receive their PALS certification.
